I decided to explore the alternative process of projection. I have researched many different ways you can go about creating a projection process and found some really great ideas. This project is definitely going to take me out of my comfort zone and have me try something I have never tried before. My key concepts are going to be vulnerability, intimacy,  and nature and how they are related. Pictures always speak a thousand words and with what I am picturing in mind these photos will speak volumes. It’s not just about what is in the pictures but it is also about the facial expressions, the background, the lighting, the texture. All of it put together will hopefully come out in a very powerful group of images that one can really feel while looking at them.
Technically speaking I feel as if I have come up with a very good plan. I have asked four or five of my girl friends, a few of my guy friends, and my boyfriend to be represented in these photographs. I am also going to include myself to bring even more meaning into it. I asked around and almost everyone feels comfortable enough to be shirtless to an extent which shows a lot more intimacy and vulnerability. The skin as a canvas is truly very beautiful. I feel that pictures of nature such as vines, roots, water, stars etc. Nature is always thought of as quiet and peaceful which can be directly related to intimacy and vulnerability which works out very well. I will have to do this in my version of a make shift studio with a white background and projector. I will have two different sessions of these photo shoots because some of my friends go here at UNH and some of my friends are back home in Brunswick, Maine. Luckily I am still in touch with my high school professor so I will easily be able to get a space and projector at home as well as here from Julee. The door will also have to be dark other than the projector to get the best results. I am very excited to try something new and different and can’t wait to see the results.
